Age Verification Policy
DoubleDoubleJoy (doubledoublejoy.com) • Canada • Last updated: 2026-03-05
1) Who may use the service
You must be at least the legal gambling age where you are located. In Canada, the legal gambling age is generally:
- 18+: Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec
- 19+: British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, Yukon
If your local law sets a higher age, the higher age applies. We do not knowingly allow minors to access age-restricted features.
2) Age-gating and verification
We use age-gating at sign-up and may verify age at any time, including before enabling withdrawals or when required by law, platform rules, or risk controls.
- Self-declaration (date of birth) and confirmation you meet local legal age.
- Document checks: government-issued photo ID (and, if needed, proof of address).
- Liveness/selfie and consistency checks to confirm the ID belongs to you.
- Database/third-party verification where available, using provided details.
- Payment and account signals (e.g., name match, fraud indicators) and location indicators to support compliance.
If verification cannot be completed, we may restrict features (including deposits/withdrawals), request more information, or close the account.
3) Underage access attempts
If we suspect you are underage or you fail age checks, we may:
- deny or suspend access and lock the account while we review;
- cancel or void access to age-restricted features;
- retain limited records needed to evidence compliance, prevent repeat attempts, and respond to lawful requests.
4) Reporting concerns and appealing actions
To report suspected underage use, request help with verification, or appeal an age-related restriction/closure, contact us with your account email and a brief description. We may request documents to confirm eligibility. Appeals should be submitted within 30 days of the action when possible.
